EVE

Eve is the exploration of classic elements contemporarily redefined. The goal was to blur historical references, and grounding Eve as contemporary modern. The bench seat, and overall careful proportion between arm, seat and frame, create an elongated and elegant visual appeal. A custom die cast aluminum leg with intentional gap, creates a sense of lightness. The contrast of polished aluminum and soft upholstery connects a classic typology to modern manufacturing processes.

The internal frame is fully assembled and made of solid birch. The cover therefore requires to be sewn in one piece. Against common practice, the profile reveals a seamless connection between t-section and arm, which requires sewing and upholstery craftsmanship.

On plan view, the front t-portion is outfitted with a harder foam core which creates a virtual seat pitch and enhances ergonomic properties. Feather and down filled comfort layer and back cushions complete the sophisticated seating comfort.
